FUNCTIONS
The boat shed is our sporting facility and is used for fishing and diving competitions and our Junior division. The facilities include a casual bar and BBQ which is used for MAAC run events.
Opening Hours
The boat shed is opened on an as needed basis for specific events such as fishing competitions, dive days and Junior activities. Check our Grapevine and Newsletter for upcoming events.
Dress Code
At a minimum, thongs or casual footwear must be worn.
Guests
The number of guests permitted will depend on the nature of the event being held. Please refer to information about your event for further details.
Food and Drink
There are a variety of different food options available at club events which will vary depending on the event and can range from catering platters to BBQ. Please note due to our license BYO alcohol is not permitted at any time.
WEDDINGS
We believe in giving you, our guests, the flexibility to compile your own menu according to your requirements and budget. Please create your own Menu by selecting from the range of courses and dishes offered or choose one of our buffet menus and choose your dishes from the selection available. We will then produce your customised menu on quality paper for your guests.
PRIVATE FUNCTIONS
The MAAC is a great venue for functions of all categories. We cater for private social and corporate events including birthdays, engagement parties, school balls, and conferences, just to name a few. We can provide buffet, formal sit down or cocktail style menu for your guests.
CORPORATE EVENTS
The MAAC is a great venue for all corporate functions, including seminars and speaking events. With picturesque views of the Indian Ocean and a generous catering menu, it’ll be sure to impress your guests. Our facility includes all the AV equipment you’ll need for your event including speakers, lectern, white board, data projector and more. We offer both breakfast and lunch time options for your next corporate event.
SMALLER EVENTS
For a more intimate gathering, our restaurant is available for group bookings of up to 50 people. This is a popular choice for birthday celebrations, corporate Christmas lunches and other celebratory events. To utilise the restaurant for an event a member of the dining party must be a MAAC member.
