This is an activity provided by the Club that gives children an opportunity to experience angling and aquatic activities in a relaxed atmosphere. Juniors runs on Sunday morning and activities include kayaking, snorkelling, fishing, boogie boarding, pool, table tennis and soccer tables all of which are supplied by the MAAC. We also have 2 aluminium dinghies that we use to take the children fishing in local waters when weather conditions are favourable.
The Juniors season runs from around the start of school Term 4 through to the end of school Term 1 and they have a number of activities during these months. In addition to the regular Sunday morning activities there is also the Bill Kerr Pool Competition, Crab Day at Dawesville, Wally Lothian Day, Fishing Charter and MAAC Junior Camp.
The Juniors division is open to children aged 10 – 16 who have at least one parent or guardian who is a MAAC member.
At MAAC Juniors we require a certain amount of parent participation in order for the program to run smoothly. Each Sunday that the Juniors is open we will roster at least six parents on duty for the day. We aim to make the Juniors a place where parents and their children can come along and enjoy the "Great Outdoors" and experience some great times with their peers.
